Page 6 of 6 Database users and passwordsIn MySQL access to a database is controlled through users. These users or accounts are separate from FTP or web accounts and is only limited to the MySQL program. Usually after creating a database you also need to create an user and password for that user. As Uniform Server is fully located on localhost, it doesn’t provide the bullet-proof access control and security. In other words, it doesn’t support user creations. There is a predefined user called ‘root’ that you need to use to access the databases. The password for root can be set in the file: mysql_password in the folder C:\Uniform Server\diskw\home\admin\www Trying ErfanServerThe erfan server program is an adaptation of the Uniform server and make things even easier.
