This site has Unicode encoded Bengali texts. If you cannot see the Bangla texts, then you would need to setup your computer for Unicode. Here is how to setup. You may also need to install a good Bangla Unicode font. We have modified the  publicly available Ekushey Lohit font for better screen reading. The new font, called AponaLohit looks almost like an Unicode compatible version of popular Boishakhi font. Download from here. You may wish to view the Bangla version of this site too.

Database users and passwords

In MySQL access to a database is controlled through users. These users or accounts are separate from FTP or web accounts and is only limited to the MySQL program. Usually after creating a database you also need to create an user and password for that user. As Uniform Server is fully located on localhost, it doesn’t provide the bullet-proof access control and security. In other words, it doesn’t support user creations. There is a predefined user called ‘root’ that you need to use to access the databases. The password for root can be set in the file: mysql_password in the folder C:\Uniform Server\diskw\home\admin\www

Trying ErfanServer

The erfan server program is an adaptation of the Uniform server and make things even easier. If you have followed the above then using Erfan should not be a problem. Erfan Server is located at:
