This site has Unicode encoded Bengali texts. If you cannot see the Bangla texts, then you would need to setup your computer for Unicode. Here is how to setup. You may also need to install a good Bangla Unicode font. We have modified the  publicly available Ekushey Lohit font for better screen reading. The new font, called AponaLohit looks almost like an Unicode compatible version of popular Boishakhi font. Download from here. You may wish to view the Bangla version of this site too.

Downloading and Installing

The uniform server package contains latest versions of Apache, PHP, MySQL and Perl interpreter- all combined into a single distribution. The uniform server installer can be downloaded from

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=53691&package_id=48193

There are three different release, the exe one  is recommended. If you need the detail documentation on uniform server, they are available from the website http://www.uniformserver.com/

After downloading the file to a local folder, run the exe. This will bring up a screen like Fig. 1. Uniform Server Installing

As you can see, the exe is actually an archive of some files. Provide a target directory name where you want to install the server. If C drive is the choice, then C:\ is a good option. Just provide the drive name, a directory will be created there. Then hit on the Extract button. The sever installation is complete! Go the folder C:\ Uniform Server (assuming you chose C:\) you would find three files (Fig. 2).
